A lot of the movies on this list are sequels. That makes sense, as sequels are more often cash grabs than passion projects. Take Return to the Blue Lagoon, which swapped out Brooke Shields for Milla Jovovich and tried much of the same plot with different kids. Stop getting in shipwrecks, people, especially if the resulting movie is ALSO a shipwreck.
