Sam’s rugged appeal not only made women love him but also made men want to be him. His cowboy looks helped him land a variety of roles in Western films like Houston: The Legend of Texas (1986), The Quick and the Dead (1987), You Know My Name (1999), and Tombstone (1993). In 2007, he was inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
