The Chicago Bulls drafted Windy City native Eddy Curry 4th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft. However, after helping lead the Bulls to the 2005 NBA Playoffs, the 22-year-old Curry was hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat, a situation that eventually led to a messy divorce between Curry and his hometown team. Curry would go on to spend time with the Knicks, Heat, and Mavericks before winding up in Asia. He spent the 2018 season with the Zhuahi Wolf Warriors in the ASEAN basketball league, as well as playing on the Ghost Ballers in the BIG3, where he joined former NBA players Donte Green, Josh Powell, Stephen Jackson, and CJ Watson.
