Dian Fossey was a primatologist and conservationist, most famous for writing the book Gorillas In The Mist, which was turned into a successful movie starring Sigourney Weaver. She studied gorillas in their natural habitat, and made many important discoveries about them. Sadly, she was murdered by gorilla poachers.
