What Ever Happened To These Forgotten NBA Players?
Ron Artest (Metta World Peace)
One of the most colorful players to ever step on a court, Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) played a distinguished 15 seasons in the NBA, where he was named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, and won a championship with the Lakers in 2010. However, despite his accolades, Artest is still perhaps best known for his role in the infamous “Malice at the Palace” where Artest and many of his Pacers’ teammates brawled with fans and players alike in Detroit. Since his playing career ended, Metta has appeared in multiple reality shows (Big Brother, Dancing With the Stars) and become an outspoken advocate for mental health issues.
