The famous singer of “Let’s Get It On,” Gaye was murdered by his own father, shot twice after getting in the middle of a fight between his parents. Gaye’s father never served jail time however; the murder was ruled to be due to a brain tumor the elder Gaye had, and he died in a nursing home of old age in 1998.
