What Ever Happened To These Forgotten NBA Players?
JR Rider
A freak athlete, JR Rider is perhaps best known for winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1994. However, as a player Rider battled substance abuse issues that ultimately ended his NBA career after just eight seasons. In 2007, Rider was sentenced to seven months in prison after being arrested and charged for cocaine possession. Despite his previous struggles with drugs, Rider recently appears to have gotten his life back on track, joining highly regarded Phoenix Hillcrest Prep as an assistant coach in 2019.
